Career Preparation I provides opportunities for students to participate in a work-based learning experience that combines classroom instruction with business and industry employment experiences. The goal is to prepare students with a variety of skills for a changing workplace. Career preparation is relevant and rigorous, supports student attainment of academic standards, and effectively prepares students for college and career success.Course Requirements:

- Students should be employed in a part time job by the first day of school. If the student is unemployed, they will have 15 days from the first day of school to gain emploement.
- If a student is not employed by the 16th day of school, they will be required to have a scedule change
- Students are required to work 15 hours per week to receive credit for the course
- Work hours, paycheck stubs and employer evaluations are a crucial part of the course
