Expectations for Students
- Be prompt! Students must be in the classroom when the bell rings, they will be considered tardy.
- Be prepared! Students will need their journal/binder, a pencil, and paper every day for notes they may want to take. Each student must have a device to work in class; a school-issued laptop with charging cord..
- Be polite! Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated in this classroom.
- Students may not eat in the classroom. If food is brought into this class, students will be instructed to throw it away.
- Phones should be off and out of sight unless otherwise instructed.
Grading Policies:
Grading Policy for Algebra 1, Algebraic Reasoning, and Algebra 2: Grades will be determined on a percentage-based system in which each category will be worth a certain percentage towards your nine-week grade. Progress reports will be sent each 3 weeks and report cards will be available 5-6 days after the nine-week grading period ends. The following list shows each category and its weight towards your grade.
- Quizzes/Projects – 20%
- Daily work – 40%
- Exams – 40%
