• Expectations for Students

    1. Be prompt!  Students must be in the classroom when the bell rings, they will be considered tardy.
    2. Be prepared!  Students will need their journal/binder, a pencil, and paper every day for notes they may want to take. Each student must have a device to work in class; a school-issued laptop with charging cord..
    3. Be polite!  Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated in this classroom.
    4. Students may not eat in the classroom.  If food is brought into this class, students will be instructed to throw it away.
    5. Phones should be off and out of sight unless otherwise instructed. 

     Grading Policies:

    Grading Policy for Algebra 1, Algebraic Reasoning, and Algebra 2: Grades will be determined on a percentage-based system in which each category will be worth a certain percentage towards your nine-week grade. Progress reports will be sent each 3 weeks and report cards will be available 5-6 days after the nine-week grading period ends. The following list shows each category and its weight towards your grade.

    • Quizzes/Projects – 20%
    • Daily work – 40%
    • Exams – 40%

    **School Policy: Late work will not be accepted in AP or Pre-AP courses.
