Hello and welcome.  I am the Counselor at Bishop Primary School.  I hope that your year will be a great learning experience.

I am a native of Kingsville, Texas and I graduated from H. M. King High School.  Upon graduation, I enlisted in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.  After the military I worked for a few doctors and communications companies, but I have always found myself in a position to help others.  In 1998 I began my counseling career while working for a social services agency. The very first day at that agency convinced me that I had found my calling.

I have worked as a case manager and intervention/prevention counselor with Communities in Schools, as a counselor for a homeless shelter, as a director of an after-school program and a intervention/prevention counselor for low income housing units both in Corpus Christi and Kingsville.  I have had the privilege of teaching English Language Arts for five amazing years at Lillian Luehrs Junior High.  After which time I pursued and achieved my dream to become a school counselor.  I love working here in Bishop.  I enjoy working with students and their families helping them work through obstacles that may keep them from succeeding.  Please let me know how I can help you on your journey.
