Dawn graduated from Bishop High School in 1980. She and her husband, Jeff, have three children, Matt (wife Tina Garza), both 1999 Bishop Graduates; Miles, a 2006 Bishop Graduate (wife Reba Howard); and Macy, currently a junior at Bishop High School. They also have three amazing grandchildren, Jaxon, who attends kindergarten at Bishop Primary; Brooxe, will attend next year; and Mattix, will attend in a couple of years. Dawn is an office manager at La Paloma Ranch outside of Riviera. She and her family are members of St. James Catholic Church in Bishop.

Dawn has proudly served as a trustee for Bishop CISD for 20 years, currently serving as the Board’s Vice President. In her time on the Board she has also held the positions of President and Secretary. She has served as an officer on numerous boards within the school and community, including elementary and junior high PTOs, Athletic Booster Club, and the Bishop-Driscoll Little League. She loves to volunteer and feels it is important for people to be involved and give back to their community. A strong advocate for public education, Dawn promotes Bishop CISD every chance she gets! She was a major factor in establishing policy to allow out-of-district transfer students to help our District grow. She loves working with and for all the students and staff at Bishop CISD and being a trusted fiduciary for the community.
