Hello!

My name is Gay Lyn Whitenton and I have been a classroom teacher for 20 years.  This is my sixth year teaching 6th grade English Language Arts. I also coach UIL Listening Skills.   I absolutely love my job and my students!  I am an alumna of Bishop School and remember being a student in the classroom I teach in!   I live in Bishop with my husband Jon, our children Cade and Landrie, and too many pets to count!  Cade graduated from Bishop School in 2015 and is a successful Mechanical Engineer.  Landrie graduated from Bishop  in 2020 and is heading to Aggieland!  When I am not teaching  I enjoy exercising, floating the Frio River, and spending time with the ones I love.  I am so excited about another great school year!
