Batchelor of Arts in Business Marketing, 2011 Teaching Certification, 2018
When I was in high school I always said, "I'd never become a teacher... I've seen how hard it is!"; teaching is my families trade. I thought I had it all figured out.
After years of sales I had an epiphany; I wanted to help people without convincing them to buy something. I love learning, what if I taught? It was a blind leap worth taking when my first teaching job presented itself in Austin. It was the best decision of my professional career.
This journey of self discovery has led me to Bishop High School where I have found my calling. The support and love in this community make every day and every student smile the epitome of what I was searching for all those years ago.
"...I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." - Henry David Thoreau
My undergraduate degree is from Texas A & M University in Kingsville where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing. I earned my teaching certification through Texas Teachers after moving back to Kingsville from Austin.
