Hi, I'm Ms. Barrera-Melde. I have been teaching in Texas since 2005. I grew up around the world since I am a military brat.  I married in 1997 to Jeff Melde and settled in Bishop. I currently live near Petronila and enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.

My Education and Professional Background

My undergraduate degree is from Texas A & M University in Corpus Christi where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and my Teaching Certification.  I earned my masters in Educational Administration from A & M University in Corpus Christi.

My Educational Philosophy

My philosophy is to teach from the heart while allowing students to discover their own abilities to be a scholar and positive leader in our school community.
