Expectations for Students Participating Virtually
- Be prompt! If you are attending a Zoom session to receive help, log in at the beginning of the Zoom session. If no one shows up for 15 minutes, I will end the session.
- Be prepared! When watching video lessons, you should be completing the example problems in a Math notes/notebook/journal.
- Be polite! When participating in a Zoom session, be respectful of other students participating. Improper behavior during a Zoom session will result in removal from the Zoom session.
- Limit distractions. While participating remotely, find a place you can focus on the task at hand.
- Show your work! Instructions to turn in work will always be included in Google Classroom assignment(s). With remote assignments, you will need to upload or attach a picture or scanned copy of your handwritten work.
Expectations for Students Participating In-Person
- Be prompt! Student must be in the classroom when the bell rings, they will be considered tardy.
- Be prepared! Students will need their journal, a pencil and paper every day for notes they may want to take. Each student must have a device to work in class; Laptop, tablet, or phone.
- Be polite! Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated in this classroom.
- Students may not eat in the classroom. If food is brought into this class, students will be instructed to throw it away.
- Phones should be off and out of sight unless otherwise instructed.
Grading Policies:
Grading Policy for Algebra 2: Grades will be determined on a percentage based system in which each category will be worth a certain percentage towards your nine weeks grade. Progress reports will be sent each 3 weeks and report cards will be available 5-6 days after the none-week grading period ends. The following list shows each category and its weight toward your grade.
- Quizzes/Projects – 20%
- Daily work – 40%
- Exams – 40%
Grading Policy for Pre-AP Precalculus: Grades will be determined on a percentage based system in which each category will be worth a certain percentage towards your nine weeks grade. **School Policy: No late work will be taken in an AP or Pre-AP courses.
