Bishop Elementary recently held a breakfast reception for their active-duty military students and their parents. Attendees also included NAS Kingsville Commander Eric Bromley, Executive Officer Michael Coppock, School Liaison Officer Sally Macias and Military Counselor Jandery Baik. The reception celebrated the conclusion of Military Month of the Child in April, a nationally celebrated month for military children. It was an opportunity for parents and students to interact along with the guests from NAS Kingsville Air Force base. The students were honored with a certificate and their dandelion painting that was painted earlier in the month. All Bishop Elementary students participated in art activities with a military theme and in counseling lessons about Honor throughout the month of April, as well as the districtwide Purple Up day on April 14^th.
