Mrs. Emily Salazar, Principal

I am thrilled to be the principal of Bishop Primary. I look forward to serving the Bishop community and Badger Nation.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Texas A& M University-Kingsville. I started my career in education 22 years ago as an elementary school teacher. I have taught first grade through fourth grade all subjects. I have been an administrator for the past four years. I spent two years as an assistant principal and two years as an elementary school principal.

I am honored to serve as principal of Bishop Primary.

Mrs. Christy Griffith, Vice Principal

I am excited to be named the new Bishop Vice Principal. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration along with my certification credits for counseling from Texas A& M University-Kingsville. I started my career in education 15 years ago. I have also taught high school, middle school, elementary and primary grades. I am extremely honored to be serving the students here at Bishop Primary.

Mrs. Nancy Clarke, Secretary

My name is Nancy Clarke, and I have been the Principal’s Secretary at Bishop Primary since October 2011. I have been in education since January 2006. I previously worked at Santa Gertrudis ISD as a Secretary and London ISD as the District Computer Technician. I enjoy working with all our Bishop CISD parents, students and staff. The office hours are 7:30 am- 4:00 pm, and I am always available to answer any questions you may have.

Miss Debra Clarke, School Nurse

I have been in nursing for 27 years. The majority of my nursing career has been caring for children, including employment at Driscoll Children's Hospital, at a pediatric office, and in home health before taking my current position as the school nurse at Bishop Primary and Petronila Elementary. I am honored to be a part of the Bishop CISD family and look forward to continuing my nursing career as a member of this team.
